The light and the mountain
Page flip, book two
Same place but home’s new.
Step step repeat
As I wade through, swollen feet.
The potions for motions
It’s a good work notion.
But the elixirs won’t fix her,
Not immediately.
So at night when she’s tired
Her mind sprawled and wired.
The was building storm showers,
And she cries for what feels like hours.
Exhaustion, shame and guilt
As the walls that have been built
Now need the mountains to hold
So they don’t crumble and fold.
Such beautiful glow
Saddened sits by her to slow
The breathing the thoughts
The tightness of knots
One by one unties
The light sits and cries
To see the mountain he warmed
To help flowers grow swarmed
With its own dirt dust and waste
Circling around its base
He wraps himself around
Quieting the sound
One body on another curled
Hugging together those pieces of her world
The power in the silence
While her mind scares her with violence
His love for her runs deep
And as she falls asleep
She wonders if he cares and noticed
When she had lost her focus
And he willed her that he did
But in her sheets she hid
Fears she is alone
Sits on her broken throne
For power she can’t will
Her bad thoughts she can’t kill
But the light it will hold still
Forever for that hill
